My theory for why everyone needs a tumblr.
Okay, let’s say you spent majority of your summer on tumblr, and then one night you go out on a date or out with your friends, the following night you do the same thing. And don’t even try to pretend like you don’t like being out with people, you probably do. So now it’s the third night, and everyone’s busy. To avoid that empty “what did I do before friends/him/her?” awkward feeling, you need tumblr! it’s your cozy little safe haven, where people get you and relate to you, posts make you laugh, you see cool stuff that makes you smile. you learn shit. and now instead of being sad nobody’s around, you have a whole little world to make things better. This may seem fairly obvious to many, but it just clicked with me hardcore, and I just wish everybody had something that made that lonely nights a little easier.
